E.C.W. (Episcopal Church Women)

Your Text HereTO ALL WOMEN OF ST. CLEMENT'S CHURCH:

Do you know that all of you are members of the ECW, “Episcopal church women".   The ECW women have a caring concern about meeting the needs of others in communities, the diocese, and in the world.  We do this by contributing to the following:

bullet

UTO, “United Thank Offering”.  Twice a year a collection is taken through envelope donations and the little blue {bank} box. This money is used to help those less fortunate and also for grants that are given annually to help schools, churches, and hospitals in the diocese and in the world.  In the first offering taken this spring we raised $400.00.

The Sara Howell memorial fund: this provides help for single women trying to get out on their own, those in need of financial help and help entering or re-entering into the job market.

Money we raise also goes to purchase items needed in the church, such as, the tables and chair for the parish hall,  items needed in the kitchen, library, and etc.

The one thing the ECW is best known for is, of course, being responsible for serving at different functions taking place in the parish hall.  We prepare, serve and clean up.   The picture taken below by Ed Croft is a good example of the decorating talents of our group.

The ECW meets the second Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am in the church library. We really need your help, help us, to help those in need.  Please join us.

Meetings will again start  up  in the fall, watch for an announcement,
